This time of the year when everything is in bloom, the city feels new and colorful and alive. It’s the time where we get to reap the rewards of the work we put in months ago: preparing the land, planting seeds, and gently nurturing our plants to become big and strong.

Building a community is the same. It starts with the seeds of hope, and takes care, nourishment, and nurturing from people like you. All the hard work we put in now, however small we might think, can yield enormous benefits for people in the future.

At The Stop, we do everything we can to nurture our community and help it grow stronger. From emergency food hampers to our group cooking sessions, urban agriculture and perinatal classes, our transformative, community-building programs are about so much more than food. We bring people together to grow, as well as cook and share meals.

This June, as we launch our Garden Harvest campaign, we’re asking if you can donate and plant the seeds of hope for someone today.

From today until June 30th, your gift goes twice as far, with The Auxilium Foundation generously matching all gifts up to $50,000. That’s means your gift of $25 becomes $50, $50 becomes $100, or $250 becomes $500. Your donation to The Stop today could have double the impact.

Donate today!

We’re asking for your support because the need to nurture our community right now is acute. In the first six months of this year alone, over 10,040 individuals accessed our food bank, and the demand continues to soar. We’re seeing an increase of nearly 83% compared to pre-pandemic levels.

Please give today and help plant the seeds of hope for our community.

If you’d like to support in another way, or have questions about our campaign, please get in touch with Lucy at lucy@thestop.org. We are grateful for any contributions you can make in these challenging times, and thank you so much for your support.
