We’re excited to share some good news with our community — after 10 months away, The Stop Community Food Centre’s drop-in meal services returned home to our regular location at 1884 Davenport Rd. on Tuesday, April 22. We will once again be serving our neighbours from the space we know and love.
This move marks the end of a challenging chapter and the beginning of a fresh, familiar one. We’re incredibly grateful for the unwavering support we received throughout this time. From the City of Toronto and Councillor Alejandra Bravo to Metro grocery stores, so many individuals and organizations stepped up when our community needed them most, recognizing the hardships we faced and ensuring that no one went hungry.
A sincere thank you also goes to Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) for their commitment to expediting the renovations that made this move possible. Their work ensures we’re returning to a safer, more welcoming space for everyone.
We want to acknowledge our remarkable team — whose flexibility, compassion, and commitment never wavered, even in the face of uncertainty. And to our community members: thank you for your patience, resilience, and understanding as we adapted together.
