If you’ve ever visited The Stop, you’ve likely met our frontline workers Nick Balch and Jermaine Robinson—and seen them provide efficient, compassionate, and tireless service in our Food Bank and Drop-in meal programs.

To celebrate them for their contributions to The Stop’s community during COVID (and long before!), they’ve been honoured as CBC Toronto “Community Champions.”

“I really believe that this is a moment in time when we all need to roll up our sleeves and see what we can do to help make sure we all get through this together.” says Nick. “I’ve worked in this community for seven years, and have gotten to know people on a personal level. To get this kind of recognition is something I didn’t expect, but it really is a thrill.”
