A new partnership to tackle food insecurity

We’re thrilled to announce a new partnership with Cookin, a homemade food delivery marketplace!

Like The Stop, Cookin believes that at the heart of great food is connecting and uniting people. For food creators, Cookin is a new platform to share their stories through homemade meals delivered straight to your door. For food lovers, Cookin is a way to discover and access some of the best-kept culinary talents – while directly supporting the local community, and economy.

Cookin’s commitment to recognize those challenged by food insecurity and tackle it through their work resulted in the partnership with The Stop where for every meal sold on Cookin in Toronto, they will make a donation to The Stop!

“We’re proud to partner with Cookin! They share a lot of the same values of The Stop; gathering with friends and family over a homecooked meal can be a powerful social connection. We’re thrilled to work with such a likeminded team!” says Cara Belardi, Senior Development Officer at The Stop.

Cookin’s team visited The Stop’s Earlscourt Community Garden for a Volunteer Day where their team helped clean the garden and prepare it for the next season. Check out some of the photos and videos below!

“To me community is exactly what The Stops stands for and it is exactly what I wanted our team to stand for. This coming together on this beautiful day is something that we want to do many times, over and over again. I see this being the epitome of what community means to me: us supporting one another” says Morley Ivers, Cookin Co-Founder and CEO.
