Community Building

From perinatal care to emotional wellness to hands-on learning in our community kitchens, our programs nourish both body and mind. Participants gain skills, build connections, and feel supported at The Stop.

Healthy Beginnings

The Stop’s perinatal program helps families build friendships, confidence, and a sense of belonging. New and expectant parents attend culturally sensitive and community-focused workshops, connect with other families, share nutritious meals, and receive food hampers and transportation.

Advocate for Yourself

Advocacy Services

Our Advocacy Services empower people experiencing difficulties to navigate systems, access resources, and take action for themselves and their communities. We provide one-on-one peer support, referrals, skill building sessions, a tax clinic, and a caring community of support.

Community Kitchens

The Stop’s Community Kitchens bring people together through food. Participants cook and enjoy nutritious meals together, learn cooking skills and tips, discover affordable and seasonal ways to prepare food, and build connections with others in a welcoming community setting

Emotional Wellness

This peer support program nurtures emotional wellness with resources and opportunities for people to create music and art, connect in a peer engagement group, receive personal care items, and more.
