Research at The Stop

The Stop is open to partnering with graduate students on research projects that will have benefit to our programs and align with our strategic plan. If you have a research project you would like to work on with us please submit your resume and a one-page proposal that includes the program area(s) you are interested working with and briefly answers these questions:

  • What is the research about?
  • What do you already know about the subject?
  • What does the research need to find out?
  • How will you get the necessary information? (research methods)
  • How long will it take and what will it cost? Note that the Stop will not be able to cover any research expenses.
  • Has the research been approved by an Ethics Review Board? Is it culturally and socially appropriate?
  • What will be the benefits for The Stop and our communities? Will the research be relevant to advancing our mission?

Please submit your research proposals to Francisco Vidal, Director of Programs and Services.

We are not able to accommodate researchers requesting access to participants of our services and programs without a research proposal approved by an Ethics Review Board and by The Stop.
