This year at The Stop :
- 16,500 people will use our centre to access food,
information and advocacy as well as social and recreational activities
- 31,500 healthy meals will be served through our community kitchens and drop-in cafe
- 204,000 meals will go home with people who use our
food bank
- 2,400 pounds of fresh organic produce will be
harvested in our 8,000 - square-foot community garden and greenhouse
What we do - The Stop's core

Food bank:
members receive a 2-3 day supply of food once a month
Drop-in programs:
nutritious meals and activities that help reduce social isolation, as
well as information on social issues and community resources
Urban
agriculture: year-round organic food production and environmental education
initiative
Healthy
beginnings: a perinatal nutrition and support program for low-income
pregnant women
Family
support program: one-on-one peer support for families with newborns
Community
kitchens: communal cooking groups that bring people together to learn,
cook, eat and socialize
