Deli Duel

A gloriously sunny Father's Day Sunday was the perfect backdrop for our second Deli Duel at the Wychwood Barns. In the battle for smoked meat supremacy, Caplansky's, Goldin's and The Stockyards prepared delectable sammies for hundreds of hungry carnivores. (Defending champion Caplansky's served up more than 230 lbs of meat alone!) More than 700 votes were cast and, while the race was extremely tight, Goldin's prevailed! Congrats to his Alex and his team, and a huge thanks to all the chefs and their teams, as well as to presenting sponsor ING Direct Canada and beverage sponsors Steam Whistle, Tipicular Fixins' and Kiju Juices. An incredible $18,000 was raised for our innovative anti-hunger programs.
