Run an Event
Thank you for your interest in planning an event to benefit The Stop's programs.
The funds raised from third party events will help support our mission to increase access to healthy food in a manner that maintains dignity, builds community and challenges inequality. Third party events also increase the public’s awareness of our various programs, and promote community involvement with The Stop.
Our third-party event ad toolkit guides provide helpful information for planning a successful fundraising event and define the extent to which The Stop can provide assistance for your event. If you have any questions, please contact Lianne Holland at 416-652-7867 ext. 225 or lianne [at] thestop [dot] org
Why organize a third-party event?
Shazia McCormick, organizer of the Community Railpath Run
"I live on Symington Avenue and since I moved to the area three years ago, I've noticed how The Stop is both a staple in our own Davenport community, but also city-wide. As a lover of food, seeing how such a community focused program could also have an amazing chef like Chris Brown makes it even more powerful. When conceiving the event, it seemed like a natural mesh - health through fitness and health through food. And the Toronto West Railpath practically goes to The Stop's front door! It was an opportunity to support something both local and bigger than just our own neighbourhood."
Kim Graham & Associates Inc. (kg&a), award-winning boutique PR agency and organizers of the Table d'OZ
"The Table d’OZ event was designed for Reserve Properties' 109OZ Lofts to highlight Ossington’s amazing culinary scene by bringing together 12 neighbourhood restaurants. More than just a food festival, the event was also about creating an environment for the broader community to come together and enjoy a sunny afternoon. The Stop's year-round efforts and outstanding contributions to our local communities made it an obvious choice, and Reserve Properties is proud to donate over $6,000 towards The Stop’s community-based food initiatives."
